Ride and Run With The Stars

Ride and Run With The Stars

The Sheriff’s annual Ride & Run With The Stars holiday fundraiser is set for Saturday, December 3rd at Fort DeSoto Park in Pinellas County. There is something for everyone with cycling and running events, a climbing wall for children, Sheriff’s Office displays and demonstrations, food, a silent auction, giveaways and the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus by Sheriff’s helicopter. The registration fee is $25 and children accompanied by a registered adult are free. Proceeds benefit those children and families who need food, clothing and other assistance over the holidays and throughout the year.

Since 1993, the “Ride” has helped hundreds of families and thousands of children. Register online by visiting the “Ride” website at RideandRunWithTheStars.com, or call 727-582-6301.

When To Call

In Florida, simply dialing 9-1-1 in an emergency connects you to EMS, law enforcement, and the fire rescue.

The 9-1-1 system is for emergencies only – serious vehicle crashes, critical medical situations, crimes in progress, or fire.

Do not call 9-1-1 for non emergency transportation.

If you are unsure if your situation is a true emergency, officials recommend that you let the call taker determine if you need emergency help.
