What:  Deputies have arrested a Seminole man for attempted murder after he allegedly stabbed his estranged wife, who had an order of protection from domestic violence against him.

Where:  The crime occurred outside a private residence located at 6272 113th Street North in Seminole.

When:  The crime occurred at about 5:38 a.m. on January 29, 2012.

How/Why: 

Deputies initially responded to a call reference an armed subject at the above listed address.

Upon arrival, they discovered the victim, 30-year-old Danielle Figgatt had been stabbed on the right side of the abdomen. The victim was transported by ambulance to Bayfront Medical Center for treatment of possible life threatening injuries. 

According to deputies, the suspect identified as 36-year-old Jack B. Woods approached the victim outside the Seminole home located at 6272 113th Street in Seminole - and stabbed her with an unknown object.

Acquaintances of the victim carried her inside the home, called 911 and placed pressure on the wound until emergency services arrived on scene. 

The victim and witnesses identified the attacker; and Woods was arrested for attempted felony murder and violation injunction/protection from domestic violence on January 31, 2012.
