Victim is a 15-year-old female, who was known to the suspect. Per Florida Statute 119.071(2)(h)1 no further details will be released that would tend to identify the child.

What: Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit have arrested a St. Petersburg man for lewd and lascivious battery on a 15-year-old girl and for sending nude photos of himself to her cell phone.

Where: The suspect was arrested at the Sheriff’s Administration Building in Largo, following an interview.

When: The suspect was arrested at about 11:30 a.m. on October 25, 2011.

Detectives began investigating the case on September 26, 2011, after the victim’s parents called the Sheriff’s Office to report they had discovered a nude photo of the suspect on their child’s cell phone.

The investigation began, and on the morning of October 25th, 2011 the suspect identified as 22-year-old Anthony Jawaine Clark was interviewed at the Sheriff’s Administration Building located at 10750 Ulmerton Road in Largo. During the interview, the suspect admitted to engaging in sexual activity with the child and to sending the nude photo of himself.

The suspect was arrested for lewd and lascivious battery and transmission of material harmful to minor. He was subsequently transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
