Arrested for burglary to an occupied dwelling and sexual battery.

Victim is a 49-year-old female, who was known to the suspect. Per statute 119, no further information will be released that would tend to identify the victim.

What:  Detectives have arrested a suspect after he broke into the victim’s home and sexually battered her.

Where:  The crime occurred at a private residence located in unincorporated Clearwater. No further detail would be release as it would tend to identify the victim.

When:  The crime occurred at about 3:36 a.m. on Thursday, November 24, 2011.

How/Why: 

According to detectives, the suspect broke into the victim’s home. Detectives say the victim was asleep, and was awakened to the suspect engaging her in sexual activity.

The suspect fled and the victim called police.

Deputies responded and Robbery/Homicide detectives were summoned to follow up on the investigation.

The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Jordan Christopher Henry was arrested about an hour and a half later at his home.

Detectives say the suspect and the victim are known to each other and this was a targeted attack.

The investigation continues.
