Pinellas County Sheriff’s Christmas Sharing Project
“Santa’s Shoppers” are Members of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office:
Sheriff Bob Gualtieri will be on hand for the event.
What: Nearly 100 Pinellas County Sheriff’s uniformed deputies and agency members will “Shop For Santa” at the Bay Pines/Tyrone area Target store to assist those families registered with the Sheriff’s Christmas Sharing Project, a program which helps families in need over the holidays.
The shoppers will be spending the money earned at the 18th Annual “Ride & Run With The Stars” event which was held at Ft. DeSoto Park this past Saturday. Shopping teams will be armed with Christmas “wish-lists” from the children and families being served by the Sheriff’s Christmas Sharing Project. Most lists consist of “basic needs” items like underwear, socks, or a jacket, or “school clothes”. Bicycle requests will be filled by sponsor Bechtel Financial Services, and delivered to families on December 15th.
