What:  David Boutwell’s body was found wrapped in black plastic garbage bags and packing tape near a dumpster at the Harbor Lights Mobile Home Park, located at 9191 Bay Pines Blvd. Ricky Boutwell told deputies that he and his brother had been fighting Monday night, December 26th. Boutwell said his brother David appeared fine on Tuesday, then was found deceased in his bed on Wednesday, December 28th. Ricky Boutwell told deputies he disposed of his brother’s body near the dumpster in order to conceal the death from law enforcement.

Where:  The Harbor Lights Mobile Home Park is located at 9191 Bay Pines Blvd.

When:  David Boutwell’s body was found by a Harbor Lights Park resident late Thursday, December 29th.


Ricky Boutwell told detectives that he and his brother David had been drinking on Monday, December 26th, when they began to fight over some statements made by a female friend.

An autopsy was conducted on the body of David Boutwell, but the results on the cause and manner of death are pending further lab tests – which could take several weeks.

The investigation continues.
