What:  Detectives arrested Greene last night after information was developed that he knew the victim. Detectives say the victim, who is recovering from a gunshot wound to the upper body – was able to identify her assailant in a photo line-up.

Where:  The address of the shooting is 6370 Haines Rd., in unincorporated Pinellas County.

When:  The shooting occurred Wednesday night, November 30th, just after 9:00 p.m. The arrest occurred Wednesday night, December 7, 2011.

How/Why: 

The victim was shot as she stood in the doorway of her apartment on Wednesday night, November 30th. Detectives believe the shooting occurred following a drug related transaction, and a dispute between the two over money – reportedly less than $50.

The suspect, Greene, was just released from Florida state prison in October where he had served time for several counts of armed robbery, carrying a concealed firearm, battery on a law enforcement officer, and other charges.

The investigation continues.
