14-221 Detectives Seek Public’s Assistance In Identifying Lobster Tail Theft Suspects

What:
Detectives assigned to the Burglary and Pawn Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating two theft suspects who recently stole lobster tails from a Clearwater seafood market.

When:
The suspects stole the lobster tails on Wednesday, August 28, 2014 at approximately 1:45 p.m.

Where:
The suspects stole the lobster tails from Wards Seafood Market & Galley located at 1001 Belleair Road in Clearwater.

Why/How:
Pinellas County detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in locating two theft suspects who recently stole lobster tails from a Clearwater seafood market.

According to detectives, the suspects entered Wards Seafood Market & Galley located at 1001 Belleair Road in Clearwater on Wednesday, August 28, 2014 at approximately 1:45 p.m. The two female suspects were observed standing near a tall cooler where the lobster tails were stored. After a few minutes, one of the female suspects is observed reaching in the cooler, taking multiple lobster tails and placing them in the bottom of a stroller.

The female suspects were then observed exiting the store and driving away in a newer model 4-door sedan that is maroon in color.

Suspect#1 is described as a black female with short black hair. She was last observed wearing a black and white striped dress, carrying a black and white striped bag and pushing a stroller.

Suspect #2 described as a black female with a lip piercing. She was last observed wearing a multi-colored striped dress, black hair cap and carrying a baby carrier.

The suspects had three young children with them at the time of the theft.

The investigation continues.
