The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office announces the graduation of Lieutenant Michael Holbrook from the Florida Sheriffs Institute Commanders Academy. The Florida Sheriffs Institute Commanders Academy was held at 2617 Mahan Drive in Tallahassee Florida.

Lieutenant Holbrook was the sole Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office member to be nominated by Sheriff Gualtieri to attend the academy. The class is used to prepare current supervisors for future command level responsibilities within their agencies.

The academy classes consist of various blocks of instruction and panel discussions in Ethics, Leadership, Public Records, News Media Relations, Legislative Affairs, Emergency Management, Professional Compliance, Finance and Fiscal Issues and the Accreditation Process. The courses took place June 2nd to June 6th and from July 7th to July 11th.  The graduation ceremony took place at the Florida Sheriffs Association and consisted of thirty three command level personnel throughout the state.
