Where:
MacNasty’s Sports Bar & Grill 6295 Gulf Boulevard St. Pete Beach

When:
Sunday June 23, 2014 at 2:23 a.m.

How/Why:
Deputies responded to an armed subject at MacNasty’s Sports Bar & Grill. Upon their arrival they learned the suspect, later identified as 29 year old Christopher Forrester, fled the area after a physical altercation with the victim, 36 year old Jason Sefick.

Sefick stated he and Forrester were in a fight when he realized he was bleeding from his head. He then noticed Forrester had a screwdriver in his hand. Stefick was able to break away, return to the bar and call for assistance. Forrester fled the scene leaving behind his sandals and sunglasses. Deputies also located the screwdriver believed to be used in the altercation.

Deputies requested a K9 unit and set up a perimeter. K-9 Deputy Aitken and K9 Bosco arrived on scene and initiated a track. The track lead them through several parking lots and then north bound along the beach. They continued a quarter mile north along the beach jumping several fences. K9 Bosco then alerted to the bushes where they successfully located Forrester. He was taken into custody and treated at the scene for punctures to his left thigh and left calf as a result of a police K9 apprehension.

Forester was transported to the Pinellas County Jail.

Sefick was treated by paramedics at the scene for his injuries.
