Deputies responded to a near drowning at a hotel pool in St. Pete Beach. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Deputies responded to the near drowning at about 7:33 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2014.

Deputies responded to the Post Card Inn Hotel located at 6300 Gulf Blvd. in St. Pete Beach.

At approximately 7:33 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 deputies responded to a reported drowning at the Post Card Inn hotel located at 6300 Gulf Blvd. in St. Pete Beach.

According to deputies, the victim and her husband were swimming in the hotel pool when he noticed she was in the water unresponsive. The victim’s husband pulled her from the water, began CPR and called 9-1-1.

The victim, identified as 65-year-old Judy Pramtel, was transported to a local hospital via ambulance with life-threatening injuries.

The near drowning does appear to be accidental and possibly health related.

The investigation continues.
