The suspects in the Palm Harbor home invasion/robbery have been arrested. They are:

Thomas E. Murphy (Arrested)
DOB: 05/02/1987
Address: 1605 Amberlea Drive in Dunedin
Arrested for one-count Home Invasion/Robbery

Joshua Ludes (Arrested)
DOB: 06/25/1986
Address: 2029 Alpine Road, Clearwater
Arrested for one-count Home Invasion/Robbery

Through their investigation detectives developed probable cause for the arrest of 27-year-old Thomas Murphy and 27-year-old Joshua Ludes. The two men were arrested during the afternoon hours of May 16, 2014 during a traffic stop in Dunedin.

Detectives are investigating a home invasion that occurred at a private residence in Palm Harbor.

The home invasion occurred on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at approximately 8:55 a.m.

The crime occurred at a private residence located at 101 Mayfair Circle West in Palm Harbor.

According to detectives, on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at approximately 8:55 a.m. two suspects entered the victim’s home located at 101 Mayfair Circle West in Palm Harbor through the rear of the home.

The suspects are described as two white males in their mid to late 20’s. During the incident the two suspects were armed with guns and attempted to conceal their identity. No further description of the two suspects is available at this time. The suspects fled the home on foot.

During the home invasion the male victim inside the home was hit in the head. He was transported a local hospital for treatment for his injuries and has since been released.

Detectives have advised that the home does appear to have been targeted during this incident and it does not appear to be a random act of violence.

The name of the victim will not be released at this time as the suspects remain at large.

The investigation continues.

This continues to be an active and ongoing investigation. Detectives are following up on various leads and information provided to them during the investigation.
