14-049 Pinellas Sheriff Detectives Need Assistance Identifying Seminole Credit Card Fraud/Identity Theft Suspect

What:
Detectives assigned to the Economic Crimes Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a Seminole credit card fraud/identity theft suspect who stole from a female victim’s purse.

When:
The theft occurred on Thursday, January 16, 2014 between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Where:
The theft occurred at the Publix Supermarket located at 10801 Starkey Road in Seminole.

Why/How:
Detectives assigned to the Economic Crimes Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a Seminole credit card fraud/identity theft suspect who stole from a female victim’s purse.

According to detectives, on Thursday, January 16, 2014 between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.  the victim had completed her grocery shopping and paid her bill at the Publix Supermarket located at 10801 Starkey Road in Seminole and went to use the restroom prior to leaving the store.  The victim inadvertently left her purse in the grocery cart and when she returned, her wallet was missing from her purse.

Since the incident the victim’s credit card has been used at various locations in the Largo Mall area by the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white female in her 50’s 5’0” to 5’3” medium build approximately 150lbs, brown shoulder length hair, wearing a long sleeve red shirt/sweater with an unknown print on the front, jeans, glasses and carrying a large gold/beige handbag.

The suspect has been seen driving a dark gray Nissan SUV.

The investigation continues.
