Sexual Battery With A Child Under 12 (3x)

The victim is a female under the age of 12 who is known to the suspect. Per FL Statute 119.071(2)(h)1 no further information will be released that would tend to identify the victim.

What:  Detectives with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Crimes Against Children Unit have arrested a Seminole man for 3 counts of Sexual Battery – With a Child Under 12.

Where:  The abuse occurred at various locations in Pinellas County.

When:  The abuse occurred on various dates from 2008 – 2012.


Pinellas County Detectives have arrested a Seminole man (33-year-old Terry Alford) for Sexual Battery on a Child Under 12.

Detectives began their investigation on January 29th, 2014 when the victim disclosed to an acquaintance that the suspect had sexual contact with her on multiple occasions from 2008-2012.

Detectives interviewed the victim and eventually made contact with Alford.  Alford denied the allegations but detectives amassed enough probable cause to arrest him and charge him with 3 counts of Sexual Battery on a Child Under 12.

Alford was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without further incident.

The investigation continues.
