Known to frequent the areas of Tampa, Miami and Dunedin areas
The juvenile is a 14-year-old male who is known to the suspect. Per Florida Statute 119.071(2)(h)1, no further information will be released that would tend to identify the victim.
Detectives assigned to the Burglary and Pawn Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a grand theft suspect after he coaxed a juvenile into stealing a cell phone from a Dunedin Dunkin Donuts.
The theft occurred on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at approximately 9:26 a.m.
The theft occurred at the Dunkin Donuts located at 1461 Main Street in Dunedin.
Pinellas County detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a grand theft and child abuse suspect. On Sunday, November 3, 2013 at approximately 9:26 a.m., the suspect entered the Dunkin Donuts located at 1461 Main Street in Dunedin, with a 14-year-old juvenile male who is known to him.
While inside the store, the suspect is observed whispering to the juvenile and then coaxing him over to a nearby table. The juvenile then grabs a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 cell phone off the table and places it in his pocket. The suspect is then observed handing the juvenile car keys and the juvenile exits the store.
The cell phone has since been recovered and detectives are now asking for the public’s assistance in locating the suspect.
The suspect has been identified as 37-year-old Freddie Garcia Ramos. Ramos also goes by the alias of Jorge Guillermo Reyes. He is described as a Hispanic male, with black hair, brown eyes, approximately 5’11” tall, weighing 240 pounds. He is known the frequent the areas of Tampa, Miami and Dunedin.
The investigation continues.
