Wanted for Murder in the First Degree

Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit are actively searching for a murder suspect that is connected to a homicide investigation in Oldsmar.

Deputies responded to a home in Oldsmar on Monday, January 13, 2014 for a welfare check of the residence. Once inside the home, deputies located the body of a female victim. Detectives are actively looking for the suspect who has a warrant for his arrest for Murder in the First Degree.

The homicide occurred at a the victim’s home located at 4761 Stoneview Circle in Oldsmar. Detectives are searching for the suspect in the area of Sevier County, Tennessee.

Pinellas County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 4761 Stoneview Circle in Oldsmar on Monday, January, 13, 2014 in reference to a welfare check. Once inside deputies located the body of a female victim. The victim has since been identified as 48-year-old Teresa Sue Compton. The victim died of upper body trauma and her death was ruled suspicious in nature.

Detectives have been working various leads and through their investigation have identified the suspect as 40-year-old James Quilliams. An arrest warrant has been issued for Quilliams for the charge of Murder in the First Degree. Detectives believe Quilliams to currently be in the area of Sevier County Tennessee at this time. Local law enforcement in that area are actively looking for Quilliams.

This continues to be an open and on-going investigation. Anyone with any information on this homicide or the whereabouts of Quilliams is asked to call the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office or their local law enforcement.
