13-276 Detectives Seek Public’s Help To Identify Clearwater Armed Robbery Suspect

What:
Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating an armed robbery suspect who robbed a Clearwater gas station.

When:
The armed robbery occurred on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at approximately 10:51 p.m.

Where:
The armed robbery occurred at the Chevron Gas Station located at 23977 US Highway 19, Unit 426 in Clearwater.

Why/How:
Pinellas County detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in locating an armed robbery suspect who robbed a Clearwater gas station.

According to detectives, on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at approximately 10:51 p.m. the suspect entered the Chevron Gas Station located at 23977 US Highway 19, Unit 426 in Clearwater. The suspect was armed with a handgun when he approached the clerk and demanded money. The suspect then left the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of money that he placed in a small bag. The suspect was last observed walking northeast towards Sunset Point Road.

The suspect is described as a black male with a slender build. He was last seen wearing a dark colored long sleeved shirt, dark pants and dark colored shoes.

The investigation continues.
