What:
Detectives assigned to the Sheriff’s Arson and Auto Theft Unit are investigating a fire at a mobile home. No injuries were reported. The fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature.

When:
Deputies responded to the fire at about 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2013.

Where:
The fire occurred at a private residence located at 4000 24th Street North, Unit 310 in the Lealman area of St. Petersburg.

Why/How:
According to detectives, 40 year-old Pamela Bokhoven, her three children ages 2, 13 and 19, and Bokhoven’s boyfriend 38-year-old Jody Theroux were in the unit when they smelled smoke. Investigators say Theroux attempted to extinguish the fire, which had started in the rear bedroom of the mobile home, but was unsuccessful. All exited the residence and were uninjured.

Detectives responded to conduct an investigation. At this time, they say the fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature.

The investigation continues.
