13-218 Detectives Seek Public’s Assistance Identifying A Clearwater Grand Theft Auto Suspect

Detectives assigned to the Arson/Auto Theft Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a grand theft auto suspect who stole a car from a Clearwater car dealership service area.

The theft occurred on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at approximately 12:52 p.m.

The theft occurred at the Lokey Nissan Service Center located at 27758 US Highway 19 N. in Clearwater.

According to detectives, on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at approximately 12:52 p.m. the suspect was seen in the area of the Lokey Nissan Service Center located at 27758 US Highway 19 N. in Clearwater. The suspect stole a 2005 white Nissan Altima 4 door with FL tag J57WCG. The vehicle was in for service at the time of the theft. It is unknown which direction the suspect left the parking lot.

The suspect is described as a bald, white male who was last seen wearing black sunglasses, jeans and a white t-shirt with writing on the front left chest and a star on the back.

The investigation continues.
