13-203 Detectives Seek Public’s Help To Identify Oldsmar Grand Theft Suspect

Detectives assigned to the Burglary/Pawn Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a grand theft suspect who stole from a Sprint Store in Oldsmar.

The theft occurred on Monday, August 26, 2013 at approximately 11:45 a.m.

The theft occurred at a Sprint Store located at 4022 Tampa Road, #4 in Oldsmar.

According to detectives, on Monday, August 26, 2013 at approximately 11: 45 a.m., the suspect entered the Sprint Store located at 4022 Tampa Road in Oldsmar. The suspect approached the counter, asked an employee for assistance, and then stated he needed to return to his car for something he forgot. The suspect was then observed taking an employee’s cell phone from the counter before walking out of the store. The suspect went to his vehicle and returned a few moments later to say that he did not have the item he was looking for. The suspect then left the store.

The suspect is described as a white male with brown hair. He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt with a white under shirt, dark colored shorts and dark colored tennis shoes. The suspect has a tattoo on the back of his neck and a vertical tattoo on the outside of his right ankle/calf.

There is no description of the vehicle at this time.

The investigation continues.
