13-190 Detectives Seek Public’s Help To Identify Clearwater Grand Theft – Shoplifting Suspect

Detectives assigned to the Burglary/Pawn Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a grand theft-shoplifting suspect who stole from a department store in Clearwater.

The theft occurred on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at approximately 11:30 a.m.

The theft occurred at a Kohl’s department store located at 2514 SR 580 in Clearwater.

According to detectives, on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at approximately 11: 30 a.m.,  the suspect was observed to be near the jewelry cases at the Kohl’s department store located at 2514 SR 580 in Clearwater.  The suspect asked a store clerk to see two necklaces from the locked display case. The clerk turned away for a moment and the suspect left the store with the jewelry.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6’0” tall with a slender build. He has a partial beard running along his jaw bone and a tattoo on his right forearm.

The suspect was seen leaving the parking lot in a late 90’s to early 2000’s model Toyota 4Runner, dark in color, with tinted windows, running boards and metal front and rear bumpers.

The investigation continues.
