13-171 Detectives Seek Public’s Help To Identify Palm Harbor Grand Theft – Shoplifting Suspect

What:
Detectives assigned to the Burglary/Pawn Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a grand theft-shoplifting suspect who stole from an eye glass store in Palm Harbor.

When:
The theft occurred on Monday, July 29, 2013 between 3:50 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Where:
The theft occurred at East Lake Eye Care located at 3434 East Lake Road, #3 in Palm Harbor.

Why/How:
According to detectives, on Monday, July 29, 2013 between 3:50 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. the suspect was observed to be viewing sunglasses at East Lake Eye Care located at 3434 East Lake Road, #3 in Palm Harbor. Once the suspect left the store, an employee discovered sunglasses missing from open racks inside the store. Surveillance photos from inside the store show the suspect removing various types of sunglasses from the racks and concealing them in his jacket pockets.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 50’s, approximately 6’0” tall, heavy build with black, straight, collar length hair and a mustache. The suspect was last seen wearing a medium blue polyester 70’s style suit with a white button down dress shirt and dark dress shoes.

The investigation continues.
