The 30th Annual National Night Out event is being held next Tuesday, 8/6/13.  Members of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Community Education and Programs Unit, Patrol Operations Bureau, Flight Section, Crime Stoppers and Community Policing Unit will address attendees and the media at various locations throughout the county.

National Night Out is designed to:

  • Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness.
  • Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs.
  • Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police/community partnerships.
  • Send a message to criminals, letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back against crime.

Come join in the festivities and meet members of local Neighborhood Watch groups and the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
