9 of 14 suspects arrested

Detectives assigned to the Narcotics Division in a joint effort with the Pinellas Park Police Department Narcotics Unit have arrested 9 suspects in Operation Carrolwood. The operation targeted 14 suspected street level drug dealers at the Carrolwood Apartments in Pinellas Park.

The round-up began at about 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2013.

Deputies and Officers targeted the suspect round-up at the Carrolwood Apartments located at 4050 78th Avenue North in Pinellas Park.

The investigation began several months ago in response to a series of complaints and calls for service from neighbors reference drug activity in the apartment complex.

Detectives assigned to the Narcotics Division began an investigation which included undercover narcotics purchases from several residents at the apartments and others who live nearby.

The investigation resulted in the identification of 14 suspects which were targetted in the June 25th round-up.

The suspects were arrested on various drug related charges to include sale and possession of meth, oxycodone and crack cocaine.

The remaining suspects will be sought in the days and weeks to come.

The investigation continues.
