13-114 Pinellas Detectives Arrest Fourth Suspect For Procuring A Minor For Prostitution (For Further Details See Release 13-104)

One female age 15-years-old.  Per Florida State Statute 119.071(2)(h)2, no further information will be released that would tend to identify the victim.

Detectives have arrested a fourth suspect for procuring a minor for prostitution. (See release 13-104)

The suspect was arrested in area of 39th Street N & 54th Av N, St. Petersburg.

The suspect was arrested on Tuesday, May 21, 2013.

According to detectives, a fourth suspect has been arrested for procuring a minor for prostitution.  During in-depth interviews, detectives learned that prior to making contact with suspect Donell Jenkins (see release 13-104), the 15-year-old victim had been staying with another female suspect at the LaQuinta Inn and Gateway Motel for approximately two weeks. During that time the victim and the suspect, identified as 19-year-old Ashley Rose Clark, engaged in prostitution. Clark paid for the rooms and set up ads on The victim would then pay Clark after each sexual encounter with a client.

A PC Affidavit was issued for Clark who was later arrested by patrol deputies during a disturbance call on Tuesday, May 21, 2013.

Detectives with the Crimes Against Children Unit met with Clark on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at the Pinellas County Jail and she admitted to assisting the victim with prostitution, as well as, receiving a monetary benefit from the acts.

Clark has been charged with: 1 count Procuring a Minor for Prostitution and 1 count Deriving Support From the Proceeds of Prostitution.

The investigation continues.
