13-065 Pinellas Detectives Seek Public’s Help To Locate Lealman Convenience Store Robbery Suspect

Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in a robbery at the City Food Market in the unincorporated area of St. Petersburg. Detectives are investigating if the cases are related to, and if it involves the same suspect, from two prior robberies at this store within the last week.

The robbery occurred at approximately 10:50 a.m. on Friday, April 5, 2013.

The robbery occurred at the City Food Market located at 5028 66th Street North, St. Petersburg.

According to detectives, at around 10:50 a.m. on April 5, 2013 the suspect walked into the City Food Market and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect indicated he had a gun under his t-shirt. After taking an undisclosed amount of money the suspect fled the scene on foot. A short time later the suspect was seen getting into a white, Toyota Yaris. The vehicle had a Florida license plate with a partial tag number of P57… 

The suspect is described as a black male approximately 18 – 25 years of age, height approximately 5’6”, average build, short faded haircut, wearing a white t-shirt, baggy blue jeans (riding low), blue plaid boxer shorts and bright white low-top tennis shoes.

Detectives are investigating to see how or if this robbery is related to two prior robberies at this store within the last week. (See release 13-063) Detectives do believe the suspect is familiar with this geographical area.

The investigation continues.
