Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit have arrested a suspect for 10 counts possession sexual performance by a child.

The suspect was arrested on January 4, 2013.

The suspect was arrested at his place of residence listed above.

The arrest of the suspect is the result of an undercover internet investigation on individuals sharing and possessing child pornography. The investigation began on November 19, 2012.

Through their investigation detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit identified a potential suspect. Detectives obtained a search warrant; and said warrant was served at the  above listed residence in Dunedin.

The suspect, identified as John M. Kaneski was interviewed and admitted to downloading the child pornography found on his computer. The computer was found to contain multiple images and videos of children in the performance of sexual acts.

Kaneski was arrested without further incident and transported to the Pinellas County Jail. Additional charges may be pending.

Kaneski is a teacher of English as a second language at Cross Bayou Elementary School.
