12-295 “Replay Tampa Bay” Distributes Sports Equipment to Pinellas Sheriff’s Police Athletic League In Time for Holiday Fun

What:       Children with the Pinellas Sheriff’s Police Athletic League (PAL) will receive new and gently used sports equipment during a special presentation on Tuesday, December 18, 2012.

The distribution is made possible through Replay Tampa Bay, a sporting goods drive hosted by the Tampa Bay Sports Commission, the Elder Automotive Group and the Tampa Bay Bucs.

 

When:     The presentation event is scheduled for 4:30-5:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 18,, 2012.

 

Where:    The presentation will take place at the Pinellas Sheriff’s PAL Sports Complex, located at 3755 46th Avenue North, St. Petersburg.

 

Why/How:

Players and coaches from the USF football program will be on hand, as well as representatives with the Tampa Bay Sports Commission.

The Sheriff’s PAL offers daily tutoring, mentoring and sports programs to children in Lealman and the surrounding area. The Sports Complex is a safe place for them to come every day for help with homework, interaction with caring adults, and sports activities like basketball, volleyball, boxing, and other self-enrichment activities.
