12-279 Pinellas County Deputies Conduct DUI Wolf Pack Operation

What:  In an effort to reduce DUI related injuries, and crashes, Pinellas County deputies conducted a Wolf Pack DUI enforcement operation throughout Pinellas County. This operation is in addition to any DUI arrests made by deputies on routine patrol.

 Below are the results from the DUI Wolf Pack Operation, Friday night, November 30, 2012:

 6  DUI Arrests

3  DWLSR Charges

1 Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance

1 Misdemeanor Warrant

21 Citations

19 Warnings

Where:  Deputies with the Wolf Pack conducted the operation countywide

When:  Operation hours: 11/30/12 at 9:00 p.m. – 12/1/12 at 5:00 a.m.

 How/Why:  Pinellas County Deputies conducted a DUI Wolf Pack operation on Friday night, November 30th, through early Saturday morning, December 1, 2012, in an effort to reduce DUI related injuries and educate the public about the dangers of drinking and driving.

 Wolf Pack patrols will be once a month, on nights separate from the monthly DUI Checkpoints.

The goal of the Wolf Pack is to target drivers under the influence of alcohol, aggressive driving and other traffic related violations.  Deputies will be conducting these operations countywide.
