What:
Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit have arrested a suspect in connection with the robbery at the Bank of America in Palm Harbor. Media coverage assisted in getting the suspect identified.

When:
The robbery occurred at about 10:20 a.m. on November 28, 2012.

Where:
The robbery occurred at the Bank of America located at 4000 Lake St. George Drive.

Why/How:
Detectives received a call on November 30, 2012 from an individual who said they had seen the photo of the suspect in the Palm Harbor Patch and thought they recognized the suspect.

The suspect was identified as 29-year-old Cody Waugh of Palm Harbor. Detectives interviewed the suspect who admitted to the robbery and stated he used some of the stolen money to catch up on his rent, pay for furniture rental, and to purchase personal items for himself and his wife.

Waugh was arrested for robbery and transported to the Pinellas County Jail without further incident. (For further information on this case see press release # 12-277)

The investigation continues.
