12-239 Man Drowns In Allen’s Creek – Deputies Seeking Information To Confirm Identification

What:        Two men fishing in Allen’s Creek behind a small shopping center on US Highway 19, saw a man struggling in the water. They said he become unresponsive as they tried to rescue him. The man was taken to Largo Medical Center by Fire Rescue where he was pronounced dead.

When:         The call came out around 2:45 p.m., Sunday, October 14, 2012. The man was pronounced dead at 3:40 p.m.

Where:        The man was found in Allen’s Creek, behind a small shopping center located at 17920 US Highway 19 North.

 Why/How:   Deputies say the man very recently relocated to Pinellas County and is believed to be from South Carolina. His name will be released once his family is notified. Anyone having any information about this individual, which may help confirm his identification, is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 727-582-6200.
