What:    Deputies say Tommy “Buzz” Preston contacted his girlfriend this morning and advised he wanted to turn himself in to deputies following Saturday’s (October 13th) shooting incident where he allegedly shot Johnny J. Holdcroft in the left hand. The dispute was reportedly over the girlfriend, identified as Alicia Hornak. Preston also allegedly threatened Hornak at gunpoint before fleeing the scene.

When:        Preston surrendered to Pinellas deputies at around noon, Sunday, October 14, 2012.

Where:       Preston met deputies at a location in the parking lot of the Criminal Justice Center, off 49th Street in Clearwater. 

How/Why:   With information provided by Hornak, Pinellas Deputy Terry Trautman contacted Preston, and further encouraged him to surrender. The two met at a location in the parking lot of the Criminal Justice complex off 49th Street. Preston was cooperative and taken into custody without further incident.
