What:       According to deputies, Preston threatened Hornak with a loaded gun and shot Holdcroft in the left hand following a dispute over the attention Holdcroft was reportedly giving Hornak – Preston’s girlfriend.

 Deputies say the group had been drinking. Preston fled the scene after the shooting, possibly on a motorcycle. Holdcroft was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with non- life threatening injuries. All three persons were known to each other, and were neighbors.


When:         Deputies received the call just after 6:00 p.m., October 13, 2012.

Where:        The shooting occurred at 13232 Clay Avenue

How/Why:  Deputies recovered the gun – a 44 caliber revolver – in the suspect’s residence.

The investigation continues.
