Due to the ongoing investigation, we are not releasing further information regarding the children’s identities.

What:  Shortly after 2:00 a.m., deputies responded to 2015 Sidney Street in unincorporated Clearwater after receiving a call for assistance.  Upon their arrival, they discovered Dawn Brown and her two children deceased in the house.

Where:  2015 Sidney Street in unincorporated Clearwater.

When:  Deputies responded to the listed address shortly after 2:00 a.m. on 9/22/12.

How/Why:  

Shortly after 2:00 a.m., deputies responded to 2015 Sidney Street in unincorporated Clearwater after receiving a call for assistance.  Upon their arrival, they discovered Dawn Brown and her two children deceased in the house.

Although the investigation is still ongoing, it is believed that Brown took the lives of her two children and then hung herself, utilizing an electrical cord, from a bedroom ceiling fan.

The children’s cause of death will be released pending an autopsy.
