What:  Deputies responded to the Paradise Shores Condominiums this afternoon due to reports of a structure fire.  Shortly after their arrival, they discovered victim Phyllis Wells deceased in her residence.

The fire does not appear to be of a suspicious nature at this time.

When:  Deputies responded to the listed address at approximately 2:00 p.m.


At approximately 2:00 p.m. this afternoon deputies responded to the Paradise Shores Condominiums in west Lealman due to reports of a structure fire at 5356 81st Street North, Building #6, Apartment #12.   

With the assistance of Lealman Fire Rescue, deputies made their way into the residence and discovered victim Phyllis J. Wells deceased.

Deputies and Fire Rescue personnel searched the rest of the residence not discovering any further victims.

Pinellas County Arson Detectives are currently on scene investigating the incident.  It does not appear to be suspicious in nature at this time.

The investigation continues.
