Detectives assigned to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Crimes Against Children Unit have arrested a Pinellas Park man for five counts of Sexual Performance by a Child.

In November of 2011, detectives received information that the suspect, 59-year-old Martin Lewis, may be downloading child pornography videos from the internet.

Detectives began their investigation and obtained a search warrant. That search warrant was executed at Lewis’ home located at 6209 62nd Street North in Pinellas Park on the morning of January 12, 2012.

Items seized during the search were sent to FDLE for forensic analysis and it was determined that Lewis had in fact been downloading random child pornography videos since April 25th of 2011. The victims in the videos were all girls between the ages of 6 and 10.

Lewis was arrested for five counts Sexual Performance by a Child and was booked into the Pinellas County Jail without further incident. Detectives say the videos were used for the suspect’s own personal use.
