12-121 Results Of This Weekends DUI “Wolf Pack” Patrol

In an effort to reduce DUI related injuries, deputies conducted a Wolf Pack operation throughout Pinellas County this weekend.

The Wolf Pack operation was conducted Countywide.

The Wolf Pack was conducted beginning at 9:00 p.m. on Friday evening May 18 through 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2012.

Pinellas County deputies conducted a DUI Wolf Pack operation on Friday evening May 18th into Saturday morning May 19th, 2012 -in an effort to reduce DUI related injuries and educate the public about the dangers of drinking and driving.

The results of the operation are as follows:

-          5 DUI’s
-          1 DWLSR
-          1 Attach tag not assigned to vehicle
-          1 Possession of marijuana (Misdemeanor)
-          1 Possession of a controlled substance (felony)
-          1 Warrant Arrest (Warrant for DUI)
-          13 Citations
-          16 Warnings

The goal of the Wolf Pack is to target drivers under the influence of alcohol, aggressive driving and other traffic related violations. 

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office will continue to conduct Wolf Pack patrols once a month, on nights separate from the monthly DUI Checkpoints.
