Deputy Shoulta died on Friday, April 27, 2012, as a result of an off-duty motorcycle crash in Pasco County, Florida.

What:  Sheriff Bob Gualtieri has announced the arrangements for the memorial services of Deputy Sheriff Jason Shoulta

Where:  Countryside Christian Church
1850 McMullen Booth Rd. Clearwater, Florida

When:  Thursday, May 3, 2012
Visitation:  1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Service begins: 3:00 p.m.

How/Why:  Deputy Shoulta was a former Police Officer in Paducah, KY and served in the US Air Force. He joined the Pinellas County Sheriff Office on March 1, 1999, and has been assigned to the Court Security Division and the Patrol Operations Bureau.  Deputy Shoulta was a member of the SWAT Team, Field Training Unit and the Critical Incident Stress Management Team.

He is survived by his parents John and Imogene Shoulta, children Jeremy Coningford, Katie and Kyle Shoulta. He was preceded in passing by his daughter Amanda. Deputy Shoulta is also survived by his fiance Robbin Belzer and her children Addison and Haven Belzer, sister Stephanie Jones (Gary) and their children Jake and Josh Simpson, by his paternal grandmother Vanda Guilliams and maternal grandparents Marvin and Helen Belt and by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches.
