Victim – The victim was a female under 16 years of age at the time the crime was committed.  The suspect and the victim are known to each other. Per FL Statute 119.071(2)h1, no further information will be released that would tend to identify the victim.

What:  Pinellas County Detectives have arrested a Clearwater man for Lewd and Lascivious Molestation of a Child Under Sixteen.  Other charges include;

-Possession of Child Pornography
-Sexual Performance by a Child

Where:  Clearwater, Florida

When:  The offenses occurred over a two year period (April 2010 – February 2012).

How/Why:  

Pinellas County Detectives have arrested a Clearwater man for Lewd and Lascivious Molestation of a Child under sixteen.

Over a two year period (April 2010 – February 2012), suspect Carlos Ayala is accused of touching a known female (under 16) in an inappropriate, lascivious manner.

During this time frame Ayala also coerced the victim to pose for nude photos.

Total charges include;

1. Possession of Child Pornography
2. Lewd and Lascivious Molestation
3. Sexual Performance by a Child

Total bond $40,000.

Ayala has admitted to all charges.
