Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in unincorporated Largo.

Deputies responded to the shooting at about 10:53 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2012.

The shooting occurred at 703 Patterson Street in unincorporated Largo.

Detectives have released a description of the suspect on the April 5, 2012 fatal shooting of Terrence Bernar Thomas; and are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying him.

The suspect is a black male; about 5’8″ to 6′ tall. He has short hair or dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a black jacket over a white t-shirt and was last seen running southbound towards Wyatt Street.

Detectives also say the victim went by the nickname or was known to many as “Pimp.”

Deputies responded to the shooting at about 10:53 p.m. on April 5, 2012 following initial response by the Largo Police Department and the Clearwater Police Department K-9 Unit.

Upon arrival deputies notified the Robbery/Homicide Unit who responded to investigate the shooting.

The deceased was identified as 38-year-old Terrance Bernard Thomas.

The investigation continues.
