According to deputies, the suspect identified as 55-year-old Martha Gold went upstairs to her neighbor Genevieve Zebrowski's home because she wanted her to drive her to the store to purchase alcohol. When 82-year-old Zebrowski declined to drive her, Gold pulled out a knife and began to stab her and threatened to kill her. The incident occurred at the doorway of the home.
Zebrowski was transported to Bayfront Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Gold was arrested for attempted murder in the first degree and was transported to Pinellas County Jail.
The investigation continues.
