Shaw received a minor gunshot wound to his right calf. He will be treated and released from Bayfront Medical Center
What: Shaw was shot during an argument with another subject in the parking lot of the Bottoms Up Club in unincorporated Pinellas Park, just after 2:00 a.m., Monday, October 12, 2009.
Where: The incident occurred at the Bottoms Up Club, located at 8804 66th Street North, Pinellas Park.
When: The shots were fired just after 2:00 a.m.
How/Why: According to deputies, Shaw and another male subject were arguing in the parking lot of the Bottoms Up Club when the unidentified male subject reportedly began shooting at Shaw, striking him once in the right calf.
Shaw was transported by others to Bayfront Medical Center, and will be treated and released.
Deputies say there may have been as many as five shots fired.
Deputies had just arrived at the Club in response to a fight elsewhere on the Club property when the shots fired incident occurred.
The description of the perpetrator is limited - a black male with long dread locks, and last seen wearing a white shirt.
The investigation continues.
