What: According to deputies, the Tardifs were driving into a parking space in front of the restaurant. Mr. Tardif reported to deputies that his foot had slipped from the brake to the gas pedal. The vehicle lurched forward, and crashed through a restaurant window, pushing several booths farther into the restaurant.
Where: The crash occurred through the front of the Country Boy Restaurant.
When: The incident occurred just after 11:00 a.m.
How/Why: Deputies say eight persons were slightly injured due to the crash. Two of those people were treated for minor injuries at Mease Dunedin Hospital. The others left the scene.
Mr. & Mrs. Tardif were not injured. The couple had planned to have lunch at the restaurant. Mr. Tardif was given a citation for Careless Driving. The fine is $166.
