A second of three suspects has been arrested in connection with a home invasion/shooting that occurred on August 24, 2009 in unincorporated St. Petersburg. The U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force located and apprehended the suspect on September 15, 2009. The St. Petersburg Police Department transported him to the Pinellas County Jail.

The home invasion/shooting occurred at about 11:12 a.m. on Monday, August 24, 2009 at a private residence located at 5101 37th Street North in unincorporated St. Petersburg.

According to detectives, three suspects, forcefully entered the private residence. One person in the home was then shot and was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

A second person, who was also in the home at the time of the shooting, was not injured.

The three suspects then fled the scene.

One of the suspects, identified as Donterris Harrington, (DOB: 11/22/1990), was arrested on August 28, 2009. He was arrested for attempted murder and home invasion/robbery in connection with the case.

The second suspect, 29-year-old Kenneth Lee Washington (AKA Kenneth Lee Bishop) was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force on Tuesday, September 15, 2009. The St. Petersburg Police Department provided assistance and transported him to the Pinellas County Jail. Washington was arrested for attempted murder and home invasion/robbery.

Washington had apparently received a gunshot wound to his right foot.

A third unidentified black male suspect is still at large in connection with this case. 

Detectives say the home invasion appears to have been drug related.
