How/Why: Detectives are investigating a mobile home fire in St. Petersburg. Deputies responded to the structure fire at about 10:01 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at a mobile home at Rahn's Mobile Home Park located at 3921 41st Avenue North, Lot 3D in St. Petersburg.
According to deputies the resident was in the unit sleeping, when he was awakened by smoke. The resident shattered a window of the unit and climbed out of the mobile home to safety.
The resident was transported to Northside Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
Deputies responded to the scene as did Arson Unit Detectives and Lealman Fire Rescue.
Detectives say the fire appears to be accidental in nature.
