What: Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit are investigating an armed robbery at a Clearwater business.
Where: The robbery occurred at the Land and Sea Motors Inc. located at 1680 Clearwater-Largo Road North in Clearwater.
When: The robbery occurred just before 5:00 p.m. on August 31, 2009.
How/Why: Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit are investigating an armed robbery at a Clearwater business. The robbery occurred just before 5:00 p.m. on August 31, 2009 at the Land and Sea Motors Inc. located at 1680 Clearwater-Largo Road North in Clearwater.
According to detectives the suspect entered the business, approached the business owner, displayed a handgun and demanded cash. The owner complied with the demand and the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect is described as a black male, about 6'4" tall, weighing 180 pounds, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing black pants, a black jacket and a mask over his face. He was possibly wearing gloves. He was armed with a handgun.
