Details from original news release, #09-200:

Detectives assigned to the Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit are continuing to investigate a St. Petersburg home invasion and the subsequent shooting that left one person injured. The crime occurred at a private residence located at 5101 37th Street North in unincorporated St. Petersburg at about 11:12 a.m. on Monday, August 24, 2009.

According to detectives, three suspects, forcefully entered the private residence. One person in the home was then shot and was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

A second person, who was also in the home at the time of the shooting, was not injured.

The three suspects fled the scene. One of the suspects, later identified as Bishop, apparently received a gunshot wound in his right foot.

Detectives say the home invasion appears to be drug related.
