Effective Sunday, August 23, 2009, these Sheriff's Office members will assume the following ranks:

Sergeant Mark Dunnagan
Sergeant Donald Mast
Sergeant Denise Nestor
Sergeant Murray Smith
Sergeant Steven Wagner
What: Pinellas Sheriff Jim Coats announces the promotion of six law enforcement members. One new Lieutenant and five new Sergeants will receive their badges and credentials at a special promotion ceremony set for Thursday, August 20, 2009.
Where: The ceremony will be held in the classroom at the Medical Examiner's Office - located just west of the Sheriff's Administration Building at 10750 Ulmerton Rd.
When: The ceremony is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 20, 2009.
How/Why: The following law enforcement members will receive their badges and credentials on Thursday, August 20th:
Lieutenant Joseph Manning
With the Sheriff's Office since 1986
Will be assigned to the Patrol Operations Bureau
Sergeant Mark Dunnagan
With the Sheriff's Office since 2001
Will be assigned to the Investigative Operations Bureau
Sergeant Donald Mast
With the Sheriff's Office since 1995
Will be assigned to the Patrol Operations Bureau
Sergeant Denise Nestor
With the Sheriff's Office since 1995
Will be assigned to the Patrol Operations Bureau
Sergeant Murray Smith
With the Sheriff's Office since 1986
Will be assigned to the Patrol Operations Bureau
Sergeant Steven Wagner
With the Sheriff's Office since 1990
Will be assigned to the Patrol Operations Bureau
