Pinellas Sheriff's Street-Level Drug Dealer Round-Up Has 47 Targets In "Operation Mid-County Clean Up"

What: After a three-and-a-half month investigation, the Pinellas County Narcotics Division is now in the process of arresting 47 targeted suspects in Operation Mid County Clean Up - the latest in a series of street level drug dealer investigations by the Sheriff's Office.
As of 10:30 p.m., August 13th, 28 of the 47 subjects had been arrested on drug sale and possession charges - primarily prescription drugs.
Undercover detectives made a series of drug buys in a mid-county Largo area neighborhood, in and around the Churchill Mobile Home Park on New Jersey Street.
Where: The Command Post was located in the parking lot of a former shopping center located at 104 Ponce DeLeon, in Largo during the arrest operation.
When: Arrests not made tonight, August 13th, will be followed up by Patrol deputies in coming days.
How/Why: All subjects arrested were transported to the Command Post where they were processed before being taken to jail.
Persons who are not arrested tonight will be sought by deputies during regular patrol shifts.
Updates will be provided as the arrests proceed.
"Operation Mid-County Clean Up" is the latest in the Sheriff's ongoing series of investigations into street level drug dealing in Pinellas County.
