The PAL ice hockey team “Stars” continued their winning tradition by completing the fall hockey season with a 12 – 2 – 2 record. The Stars also won the annual Tampa Bay Skating Academy “Thanksgiving Turkey Shoot-out Tournament” held the weekend after Thanksgiving.

The championship game was tied at the end of regulation, remained tied after one overtime period and was won during a shoot out. The win resulted in an article in the St. Petersburg Times the following week touting the team’s success. 

Several fundraising efforts were held during the fall, including “PAL Night” at both Sweet Tomatoes and Steak & Shake restaurants, a car wash and the sale of Domino’s Pizza fundraising cards.
